The Gabrielle bag is one of Chanel's six iconic bags, personally designed by former creative director Karl Lagerfeld, whose design sketches still circulate online; the bag is named after Coco Chanel's real name, Gabrielle.
The bag has an overall inverted trapezoidal shape, with the bottom design inspired by horse racing goggles, glasses cases, and the structure of VR glasses. The rounded rectangular base, wider on both sides and slightly narrower in the middle, is very spacious; the unique design gives the bag a retro yet modern feel.
